Al motto di “going green” The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi e The Residence Maldives Dhigurah hanno dato una svolta decisamente più ecologica all’interno delle loro prestigiose strutture 5 stelle collocate negli angoli più belli e incontaminati dell’arcipelago maldiviano.
Da sempre attenti e sensibili nei confronti delle tematiche ambientali, i Resort The Residence Maldives by Cenizaro hanno deciso di portare avanti con impegno questa nuova sfida ecologica mettendo in pratica una serie di piccoli, ma significativi, provvedimenti per limitare l’impatto di emissioni di anidride carbonica e la produzione di materiali di scarto dannosi per la natura.
Nell’ambito di queste iniziative, The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi e il nuovo nato The Residence Maldives Dhigurah hanno installato un impianto di imbottigliamento dell’acqua, sostituendo le bottiglie di plastica con quelle di vetro più eco-compatibili. L’inquinamento pervasivo da plastica, soprattutto in mare, è la seconda emergenza ambientale dopo quella climatica e i due problemi sono strettamente correlati.
In questo modo non solo si andrà a ridurre ulteriormente l’uso di plastica nei Resort, ma anche le emissioni di carbonio in quanto non sarà più necessarie trasportare le bottiglie d’acqua nelle strutture. Ogni villa, sarà quotidianamente e gratuitamente dotata di 3 bottiglie da 1 litro di acqua naturale in vetro. Entrambe le opzioni di acqua naturale e frizzante, anche in bottiglie più piccole da 500 ml, sono disponibili nei vari punti di ristoro dei resort.
Questo rappresenta un ulteriore tassello che va ad aggiungersi alla politica anti plastic pollution degli oceani e sugli effetti deleteri che questa ha sulle barriere coralline e sulla sopravvivenza di mammiferi e pesci filtratori come balene e mante, oltre che su delfini e moltissime specie di uccelli marini. Always attentive and sensitive to environmental issues, The Residence Maldives by Cenizaro Resorts have decided to pursue this new ecological challenge with a series of small but significant measures to limit the impact of emissions of anhydride carbon and the production of waste materials that are harmful to nature.
As part of these initiatives, The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi and the new born The Residence Maldives Dhigurah have installed a water bottling plant, replacing plastic bottles with more eco-friendly glass bottles. Pervasive pollution from plastics, especially at sea, is the second environmental emergency after climate change and the two problems are closely related.
In this way, not only will the use of plastic in resorts be reduced, but also carbon emissions as it will no longer be necessary to transport water bottles to the structures. Each villa will be daily and free of charge with 3 1-liter bottles of natural glass water. Both natural and sparkling water options, even in smaller 500ml bottles, are available at various resort eateries.
This represents a further step that adds to the anti-ocean pollution policy of the oceans and the deleterious effects it has on coral reefs and on the survival of mammals and filter fish such as whales and manta rays, as well as on dolphins and many species of seabirds.
