Air Mauritius resumes direct flights from Rome to Mauritius starting from October 2024

On the occasion of BIT 2024 in Milan it was announced that Air Mauritius, the national airline of Mauritius, will operate two weekly flights from Rome to Mauritius starting from 16 October 2024 until 30 April 2025.

An Airbus A330-900neo configured with a two-class layout (28 seats in Business Class and 260 seats in Economy Class) will serve the route from Rome Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino International Airport to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Mauritius.

“With the introduction of these two weekly direct flights from Rome, Air Mauritius aims to promote Mauritius as a reachable destination with convenient air connections. This new flight is part of the process of consolidating our European network. Mauritius has so much to offer in terms of hospitality, beaches, gastronomy and culture. Air Mauritius’ non-stop product is unique and represents the perfect opportunity for Italian visitors and those from neighboring countries to discover Mauritius,” says Laurent Recoura, Officer in Charge of Air Mauritius.

Air Mauritius also offers daily flights from Paris CDG and London Gatwick, as well as two weekly seasonal flights each year from Geneva between October and April.

Air Mauritius’ long-haul fleet includes 04 Airbus A350-900, 02 Airbus A330-900neo and 02 Airbus A330-200. 03 additional new Airbus A350-900 aircraft are expected from 2026.

The regional fleet is made up of 04 ATR 72 aircraft.
